About DC Green
Before he became a children's author, DC Green roamed the world writing for surf magazines (mainly because he couldn’t afford his own air tickets). He has written over 2,000 articles for 100 plus magazines and newspapers, contributed to a dozen anthologies and won awards for both his fiction and non-fiction writing. Wavelength magazine in the UK recently dubbed DC ‘a living legend’ with a 'rapier wit and biting satire… albeit a bit hairy and slightly blind.’
DC still works for surf magazines, but writing children’s books is now his passion. He reckons he’s found the most enjoyable and worst-paying job in the country! Every year he spends ten weeks touring schools, bringing laughter, killer writing tips and the world’s worst rap to the far corners of Oztrailer.
Barrel Books has published four DC Green children’s books: Stinky Squad, Three Little Surfer Pigs and, of course, the first two Erasmus James books (with one more to come). The best-selling Erasmus James and the Galactic Zapp Machine is now available in audio format (coming soon), as a paperback or as a free downloadable e-book.
DC lives on the NSW South Coast of Australia with one slightly crazy daughter and four very crazy guard cats. He is presently working on FOUR books: Cosmic Surf Wars, Guard Cats, Monstro City and Erasmus James: Grat Siege! He continues to surf with high zeal and low skill.
